At Dream Factory, the Sinhala and Hindu New Year is more than just a holiday — it’s a time to come together, honour tradition, and celebrate as one family. This year, our “Ape Aluth Avurudda” celebration brought colour, laughter, and unity to life in true Sri Lankan style.
The event kicked off with traditional Avurudu games that brought out the competitive spirit and joy in everyone. From the classic Kanamutti Bindeema, to the fun-filled Handa Uda Dehigediya Thabagena Yama, the laughter was non-stop. One of the highlights of the day was the crowning of our very own Avurudu Kumara and Kumariya, with participants showcasing not just looks, but charm, personality, and traditional attire.
The office was filled with the aroma of kavum, kokis, aluwa, and other beloved Avurudu treats, prepared and shared with care. Staff dressed in vibrant traditional outfits, and the atmosphere was one of genuine joy and cultural pride.
Events like these remind us that Dream Factory isn’t just a place of work — it’s a space where culture, community, and creativity come together. As we step into a new year, we do so with strengthened bonds, positive energy, and shared purpose.
Here’s to a prosperous New Year filled with unity and success. Suba Aluth Avuruddak Wewa!
